    Yes, 9mm.

But, the 10rd mags aren't flat on the bottom. They have a huge indentation on the bottom. So, I tap the bottom to load a mag and . . . . surprise!

It's gonna be a while. It's the most expensive gun I've ever bought. So, about 5 weeks.

i am sure it will be worth it and 5 weeks is much better than months ;) .... a blink of an eye really :D
    The SAO or DA/SA?

not that picky actually...prefer DA/SA but would happily take SAO :)

I just don't feel the need for a whole poopload of rounds. I know, one can never tell what they might need but ............ I'm just not as concerned as most of the folks are here on the forum about having 12 to 15 rds. (or more) to feel comfortable. I carry a medium or small 1911 with 8 or 9 rounds of 45 and and spare mag and don't feel uncomfortable about that. But, then again, I don't live in a "city" full of crime and dirt bags.

I think a lot of us simply prefer to have the number of rounds the gun was designed to hold...rather than an arbitrary restriction due to unconstitutional laws in another state...

The mags for 226,228 and 229 are basically the same. But the mags for a 40 cal are slightly different at the top. As long as they say 9mm you are good to go. I just loaded some for a range day tomorrow.

Guess what walked into the store a few days ago.

A Sig Sauer P229. Just the plain version, no Legend or anything fancy.

I just made my first payment today.

I guess the P229 was just an appetizer to warm me up for this.

And, I even have a picture!

I'm so jealous but glad you are buying a awesome pistol. A 9mm P229 is on my bucket list and hope to get one someday.

    Congrats!
