Besides, your just trying not to let that worthless Grendel crap get left behind for not doing anything some other cartridge won't do.

I can see it catching on. If for no other reason than Dawico doesn't like it.

It is too new for me to have a real opinion of it yet.

I just don't see what is really special about it.

I think it will gain a little niche following but in general will not do great. But like all gun stuff I hope it does well.

I guess the smartass and sarcasm didn't quite translate.
I'm not going to run out and get one, but it does have me curious. The .223 remington was not developed for civilian use and though it does have limitations, it does several things well. So it caught on. Depending on available components, barrel twist rate and erosion, if it plays out well, it could address one thing it doesn't do as well. Longer range at an affordable price and low recoil. As well as more hunting applications. I can see possibilities. We shall see.

Oh, I got it and know what you meant.

I really think this round is going to follow the path the 6.5 Grendel is on.

As soon as I can buy a .224 barrel I'm going to swap out the .223 bull I never shoot with the .224 and see how I like it, or maybe do some side-by-side shooting with it and my 6.5G. As soon as I got my 6.5 the .223 bull has collected dust. I hear January is when barrels will be available, but with people selling .224 guns now.. it seems to me I could find one before then. I'd originally thought I'd do a .22 Nosler but ballistics on .224 "seem" like they might be better. Might just end up with another dust collector.. :/
