The Person killed by police in Austin while reaching for his gun was "A Good Kid" He was arrested the day before for robbing a lady at an ATM---out on bail, he shot out windows in an apartment. His ethnic brothers threw bottles at police. Perhaps Darwin was right.

I was going to start a tread about this if I didn't see one after lunch. The Officer involved is an eight year veteran of APD and decorated. He was runner up for officer of the year in 2008, the thing that every one (including those that support the officer) needs to remember is that we do not have all the facts of the case yet, and we need to refrain from speculating. The only tarnish I have heard of on this particular officers record is that there was a domestic dispute that got him a 15 day suspension. He apparently was having an altercation with his girlfriend and she had his cruise tickets and he went in to her residents to get them. I do not think that there was any physical assault draining the altercation. But that is what the people are complaining about as far as I can tell.
But I will add that if you act like you are going to pull a gun on me wile I'm in uniform with my "batman" belt on you will at least see the end of my barel, and if you continue to draw yours you will hear it and feel it to.

Yes, but he was just about to turn his life around.

NAACP Branch (I guess) president said after a meeting with chief Art Acevedo, that he doesn't think the police are doing enough to stop the "problems" in the community.
I think the NAACP is a racist organization that should be shut down and finally told to shut the F up! They started out with a good cause and now they are the black version of the KKK, only stronger with more political power than any one party in Washington for sure. I'm getting sick and tiered of good cops getting held to the coles because of they're racist bull shit.
I have no problem with a watch dog group to keep the government on it's best behavior.but who watches them? I would also like to say that when people use racial slurs it is bad for the human race. IDGAF weather you are black, white, green, orange or multi colored. If you look down on another human being based on skin color alone, you are just as bad as the KKK or Hitler. I'm sorry if this offends anyone at all, but no one will say it. I'm sure someone will call me racist, or a "right wing extremest" but I do not care, someone has to call them out on this.
once again I'm sorry if I have offended anyone in anyway, I don't mean to be so blunt but that is the only way to put this. None of this is intended to be racist toward the black community, but is intended to so how the NAACP uses the people involved in a crisis for their own political agenda.

SONG: "I fought the law and the law won" !

When a thug goes for his pistola to shoot one of our law enforcement, it indicates he intends to add that officer's life to his list of evil accomplishments, and when he dies by being outgunned by that officer I have to call it a good shoot. Good riddance, saved the State untold money later on.

As far as the NAACP, I give them the same credence as Hamas, and middle eastern rabble rousers.

It is still to early for speculation about the shooting I think. I was planing on getting into law enforcement but now I'll probably go to school for welding and get certified and get back into it, because I do not want to be public enemy number one for doing my job. But good luck to all those that do not mind the heat, you will all need it some day.:( And one more thing, I do feel bad that someone had to die. But every time I see the family bitching on TV I care less and less about their pain, and more and more for what the officer is going threw. If you little boy was a "good kid" then he would not have commited armed robbery.
