Spare AR15 bcg

Either I get a barrel or a bolt that doesn't headspace correctly. Not very often, but it has happened.

With whose parts?

Swapping parts without HS check is kinda iffy.

I have exactly *1* complete set of parts to put together a bolt. I don’t have a spare carrier, even though I’ve seen a couple that were cracked in some hard use instances. Personally, I attributed those cracks to metallurgical failure (rare) combined with asshats dropping carriers onto a concrete floor.

I keep a spare AR15 BCG. I just purchased a spare LR-308 BCG the other day after a range day and cleaning.

I had a cbi barrel that didn't headspace with 1 bolt, but did with another. Another time it was a faxon barrel. Another time it was a jp bolt. If it didn't work in 1 barrel it usually worked in another. Might sound strange, but happens more so in AR10's.

Tolerance stacking is absolutely real. Not surprising about ar10's. The AR10 is three different TDP's in a trench coat pretending to be one.
