    I have exactly *1* complete set of parts to put together a bolt. I don’t have a spare carrier, even though I’ve seen a couple that were cracked in some hard use instances. Personally, I attributed those cracks to metallurgical failure (rare) combined with asshats dropping carriers onto a concrete floor.

    I had a cbi barrel that didn't headspace with 1 bolt, but did with another. Another time it was a faxon barrel. Another time it was a jp bolt. If it didn't work in 1 barrel it usually worked in another. Might sound strange, but happens more so in AR10's.
    Tolerance stacking is absolutely real. Not surprising about ar10's. The AR10 is three different TDP's in a trench coat pretending to be one.
