Spied a Savage O/U .222 12 gauge shotgun rifle today

Now it was not in good shape. Missing front sight, rear sight blade, stock sawed off 3 inches after the pistol grip... kind of rusty.

But, some gent added choke tube to it. Just find some more (cylinder bore, modifed, full) and that makes it quite a gun.

I could see getting parts from 'the gunparts corporation' for the front sight (just the blade is all that is needed), rear sight, and a new buttstock.

Clean it up and make it a real hunter. They want $288 or so for the gun.

This one has a cross bolt safety and polymer forend (and polymer what-is-left-of the rear stock.)

Flip type barrel selection on the hammer.

I rhink you’re asking for a headache.

If you really want one of those combo guns just find one ready to go.

You’ll spend a lot more money than you think on parts.
I’d let Bubba keep his abortion.
They made those by the thousands. Finding a nice complete example should be easy enough.
