Spikes Tactical AR's - thoughts?

Looking at what seems to be their "entry level" AR https://www.spikestactical.com/products/complete-rifle-crusader?variant=32734094732 Can be found for decent price at some local shops. Aside from the psalm that's written on it (not really my thing), what are your general thoughts as to quality? Kinda been itching to get one and what better time than the present?

I think for that amount of money I'd look at BCM.

I have a Spikes Lower with LPK and buffer tube with Enhanced Trigger on one of my builds. It functions without a hitch , mated to a bcm upper with DD barrel and bcm kmr

I have no experience with Spikes complete rifles but I've had two Spikes lowers. One had an issue which I sent back on their dime and they promptly sent me a new one which is perfect. Also have other Spike components (buffers LPK etc) all good quality.

They do have a thing with putting off beat markings on some lowers like the finger thing for the safety position.

Spikes makes good quality stuff. IMO they are on the upper side of the midrange AR stuff.

IMO that is a lot of dollar for run of the mill "Forged" upper/lower and T6 upper IN today's market

Todays market AR's and the rest are sitting on the shelfs. Way to many <$1000k that are good guns.

Yea, they're good but that's way too steep for 90% of the market right now. I would be looking at Daniel Defense for that kind of change.

Does seem a bit high, I sold one a couple years ago. Most people pay due to it being the Crusader with the verse on it. I’d go with BCM myself but I’ve never seen anything wrong with Spikes.

Looking for a Spikes gun specifically? I have some of their lowers and I'm a fan of them. I even have the Crusader lower, sans Psalm (have to order whole rifle to get that), that I used to build my ultimate 556.

I like their lowers but I have always thought their rifles were pricey for what you get. Any idea who makes their barrels? Who are the blanks from? What triggers are they? For the money they want I can build a really nice rifle with known parts.

Haven't shot a Spikes' complete but like many others I have one of their lowers mated to a PSA kit and it's just fine. Have a buddy with two others, all work great. I preferred the 'Punisher' skull for my build.

I have the Spike's Tactical Crusader bought from Primary Arms a couple of years ago. LOVE IT! One of my favorite ARs. I paid $1400 delivered from Primary Arms. The Upper was blemished when I received it. I had Primary Arms contact Spikes, they contacted me, sent me shipping label and had a brand new one to me within a week. Can't beat that for customer service.

That being said - today I would buy a LWRC DI for that kind of money. I have two of them and I believe they are superior in every way.
