Springfield extra stuff

My friend bought a new XDm from Gander Mountain.
When he applied for the extra stuff, he was told that serial number had already been used..

He just found all this out today.
He is calling about it tomorrow.

I was in the store with him, and he said it was new.
I am fixing to verify with him.

The receipt doesn't say new or used.
He went to GM today, and they told him it happened before on a Browning purchase, and to call Springfield.

I saw a post on the Beretta Forum recently - guy bought an expensive Beretta shotgun - turns out it was "used" - from Gander Mountain. Someone bought it and returned it - then Gander sold it as new.

That sucks, man.

Had to download a form, & send it in along with copy of the receipt.

I bought an XDS from Defender Outdoors and sent mine in to Springfield for the free stuff. They told me 8 - 12 weeks for delivery.
