I've seen quite a few comments on another forum and several sites carrying the story from bikers claiming the right of way due to them being a group.

I have to say I don't see anything that gives a rider the right to delay or block traffic for the purpose of keeping the group together.

It would be nice if everyone could give a little and get along but if a driver has the right of way, traveling in a group on bikes doesn't change that. If there is some circumstance that does I'm sure there would be a police escort to manage traffic.

My problem is that they surrounded the vehicle on the roadway (With family on board) If they moved to shoulder, I'd not pay attention to them. I bet the car driver panicked. With what's been going down of late with KNOCKOUT GAMES and thrill Killings I'd have gun out at ready at that point too. And guess what I'd have foot on gas ready to pop clutch and burn rubber and drive right over them if they even flinched towards my vehicle.

I've been riding for over 30 years, both sport bikes and Harleys. I can assure you if a group of bikers did that to me I would run every last one of them over with my F-250 then back up to get them a second time. Would be more fun then wasting a bullet.

Ive be3n a sport bike rider for 10 years. They had the guy in the cross hairs from the word go. Dont know what led up to the events, but if it were me, I would have done the same. Threaten my family and I wiould double your force with a greater force. A "group" of riders that size would be enough to keep my window rolled up with the slightest confrontation. Which would be misunderstood by the group. Everyone thinks for themselves in those situations. One guy might be calm, but he doesnt speak for the entire group. It only takes one squid to cause the whole pod to lose it... do squids hang out in pods??

I have seen cars get pissed for having to wait for a large line of bikes and just cut right the hell into the middle of the group, deserving a big ass-whooping from a hundred riders.

What gives a group the right of way to block traffic?
