SSA Barnes 70gr tsx - the new zombie hog killing ammo

I am thinking that this new bullet is bringing 5.56 pressure ammo out of short barrels into 6.8 territory.

Barnes makes some good bullets, but boy are they proud of them.

Looooong bullet even for 70 grains. My 1/9 would most likely choke on it. 2750 FPS is impressive.

The boxes of bullets I have read 1/8 twist. Yes, they are very long.

From let to right, 52 grain SMK, 55grain FMJ, and the 70 grain Barnes TSX.

The 62 grain TSX is rated to 1/9 twist though.

I like the fact that it expands and petals instead of fragmenting.

I switched from 77 grain SMKs to the 70 grain TSX last year. Make a lot of bacon, even with the 10.5".
