That is supposedly a private homeowner(an attorney from what I read) defending his home from a mob of protesters after they broke thru the perimeter gate of his property.

From what I'm reading, this is the mayor who not only doxed her constituents who filed a petition she didn't like, she also personally funded (via home equity loan) a campaign against concealed carry laws being passed (and lost).

I think the couple were well within their rights to do what they did. And the article you linked to, confirmed this. They were on their own property and defending such. They broke no laws. And they achieved their goals; hurray for them!
