    I'm a bit conflicted on this. He states he supports the 2nd Amendment, feels he did the right thing in defending his home, but he took a plea deal to misdemeanor charges. Part of me says he caved to pressure, instead of fighting all the charges. Part of me does understand he probably just wanted to get it over with and was tired of the publicity.

    Financial considerations could have played a big part.

    I think what McCloskey said was accurate. He was guilty of "placing people in apprehension of physical injury". Sounds like a stupid fucking law and needs an exemption or defense to prosecution if the "apprehension of physical injury" is used to stop other unlawful acts. Otherwise every police officer in MO is guilty of causing "apprehension of physical injury" to every criminal in the state.
