    This made me laugh.

All the benefits of steel usually are talked down by the internet posters, but found a seller (not sure about the manufacturing company) that actually recommends it for some of the guns listed for sale
    over brass.

Read the small print next to the 4 Velocity Firearms (MAC type) guns on page 21 :green:

However, I can't find that information on the company website. VMAC9 Series Pistols & Rifles :: Velocity Firearms - Superb Products

Just another entry in the 'who would have thunk it' file.

For years, steel-cased ammo got a slam (and I contributed my fair share).

Now, Hornady offers .223/5.56/7.62x39 match ammo in steel cases.

Did they achieve a break through in ammo technology, or are they cutting costs with steel?

    The goal of business. . . . .

Precisely. They either started outsourcing and labeling the steel cased stuff or modified equipment to start mfg it. Either way they entered into a market they were getting beaten by.
