    Hi there...

I am new to this forum and here it goes my first question.
I am looking in to the STI Line .... Looks like The Escort is the perfect fit for me.
Is there any body out there with a STI "The Escort"? what are your thoughts on it?

    Thank You!

I have the Spartan.Very tight fit and very accurate. Some parts are made by Armscor and STI puts in theirs to make a very nice gun. Can't seem to get my hands on an escort or ranger.Thinking about the Trojan as my next STI purchase.

Thats exactly the one I am thinking of buying :P I saw it there when I went to the range....
Is ether that STI Escort or the Springfield EMP 1911
I just need to make some research on it first and decide base on that ;)

The grip size is different on these. Since the EMP was specifically made for shorter (9mm / 40 S&W) size rounds, it is a little shorter when measured from back to front.

i owned the EMP and since the grip is shorter and the magazines are propriortary (sp?), it makes spicing it up a bit difficult. i wasnt able to find generic magazines for them, i think mec gar makes the mags. i really l.iked my EMP and thought i was going to keep it but i dont regret switching over to the ranger II.

    recoil

My Ranger is in 45 and I have no issues with the recoil. I like 45 better actually due to its recoil as a lower pressure round. Recoil is more of a push than a pop that you get with a 40 or 357 sig in various platforms.

the escort is a awsome gun.the grip is longer than the origional ranger. standard officers lenth, the origional ranger had a detonics lenth grip same as the ls. i have played with both i would buy a sti ovet a springfield any day. better quality better gun better warranty.
