Very cool interactive map. Thanks for the link. I may be thousands of miles away but I still keep track during the hurricane season with friends and family who are affected when these things roll in.

Thanks.I have some friends in Beaumont and Galveston that are thinking about whether or not to evacuate.My brother who lives in New Orleans does not have a choice as he is a cop and cannot leave.

I'm just glad that they are telling NOLA residents to head north or north east. I live very close the the Astro Dome that housed so many from Katrina and it was a mess.
