Subgun Forum?

Subguns don't really have a spot in here, is it worth having a dedicated section along with pistol, rifle, and rimfire?

This. "Sub gun" is usually short for "submachine gun".

If they have a warhead then it would still fall under class3/nfa.

Applies to the deck and AA guns of older subs as well.

SMG. Yes sub machine gun, but most include the semiauto versions as well. MP5, Uzi, Mac10, CZ Scorpion, Sig MPX, just to name a few.
I have a MKE Zenith Z-5RS(H&K MP5) and had a CZ Scorpion Evo3 S1.

Semi auto versions of rifles would fall under either the rifle section or the NFA section of SBR.

Pistols go in the pistol section. (Scorpion pistol).

Putting semi auto guns in a sub gun forum would be pretty innacurate, sub guns aren't semi auto. My Uzi model A isn't a sub gun, just a short barreled rifle.

You can have pistol versions and rifle versions(SBR).

Then not all rifle versions are SBR's under your semi auto sub gun moniker. Many clones of sub machine guns have been built with 16"+ barrels to escape NFA laws. Semi auto Thompsons are the first to come to my mind.

Well, in that case a pistol version would just be a semi auto pistol. No reason to call it anything else.

Pistol caliber carbines (PCCs) are known as just that. Causes no confusion and perfectly describes the firearm. They go in the rifle section because they're rifles.

And SBRs are already covered in the class 3/NFA section and if someone told me they had an UZI or Thompson sub gun and it turned out to be semi auto I'd tell them they should rephrase because the term is typically associated with F/A.
