Well, first, this is nothing new in that area - people have been getting robbed at home for years in Sugar Land, in broad daylight most times. Now it seems to be getting more common there, and in Missouri City as well. Even the Mayor isn't safe. Same type of thing; people are approached and surprised while they're getting out of their cars or in the garage, and sometimes at the door of their homes. So, how are the BGs doing it? Pull up and block the driveway and approach from their car, hide in an area around the house, are they walking around looking for targets? Are they already in the house? The news reports don't go into much detail, but I'm wondering what the typical scenarios are and what defensive tactics might be used.
