There are some police trade ins floating around for sale. I have no knowledge or exprience with this model. Are these any good? I wouldn't mind picking up one as a "truck gun" for the asking price of $300.

A low recoil. Always a good thing.

I believe this will be an alloy frame, double stack 9mm, DAO. Good gun. Yes, a bit complicated inside, but not bad if you know the S&W autos. Very reliable and accurate guns.

I have been wanting a 6906. It is what I learned to shoot with at a police department in Virginia. My cousin was a firearms instructor there. A 5906 would work as well. I guess it is just the full size version of the 6906. I think I would prefer the double/single action instead of the double action only 5943.
