    Stop using pucks.
Learn the difference between stabilized and non-stabilized chlorine (CYA)
Get rid of some water to get your CYA lower, and pay attention to it and keep it lower. The higher the CYA, the more chlorine is needed to keep things clear until you finally have so much you have to pump out at least half the pool. (that's Leslie's goal. It means they're selling you enough chemicals, but they call it high solids, not high CYA)
Read up at trouble free pools. You can save big money by understanding how to do it right.

    Spring
Well I decided to kick the can down the road. Added a quart and a half of muriatic acid, and almost a gallon of bleach. Numbers are better, will test every week or so until spring. Once it warms back up I will likely do an acid wash with the drain and refill, it could definitely use it. Thanks for all the help!
