Taking BIL and nephew to the range today

I've got a nephew who's shown an interest in shooting. He's worked his way up from BB gun to air rifle, mainly using clay targets in their (big) back yard, and he's a good shot (and disciplined). His christmas gift from me is a trip to the range today. My BIL is coming, too, and I gave him a Marlin 22LR for Christmas, so they have a reason to keep going!

We'll be taking my suppressed 10/22, suppressed Walther P22 and unsuppressed Heritage 22LR - plus their rifle. We'll start close, on paper, to get used to everything then move out to 30 meters on steel.

I think I'm as (or more) excited than he is...

Was a good day. Kid is a good shot. Enjoyed the Heritage 22 revolver the best. Ended up hitting steel multiple times at 40 yards with their new Marlin 22LR rifle.

Broke out our 2 Gamo air rifles and spent some quality time with my 2 nephews today. We wore out some targets. Went through over 700 rounds in the last 2 days. I promise them we'd break out the 10/22 next time. I know their arms are going to be sore after that many rounds. Good work out with a break barrel rifle.
