In my quest for a nice concealed carry auto, I just totally ignored the tried and true wheel gun. Went to a store today and both the Taurus 605 and 627 .357 caught my eye. I figured, 'why not?' I can shoot .38 Specials for target practice and plinking, then load .357 for defense.

Does anybody own either of these or other Taurus revolvers? Is there a better choice for the money?

My dad has the Tracker and loves it.I like the flame that comes out of the ported barrel when we shoot in the early morning. It is very accurate and fun to shoot.

I have two Taurus revolvers ... an 85 (5-shot .38) which I've had for years and is my car gun ... and a 617 (7-shot .357) which I carry occasionally after an $85 trip to a gunsmith for a trigger job and to open the gap between the barrel and cylinder ... the 617 is an excellent gun now; shoots straight, not too heavy ... just saw a review of a new taurus I'm interested in ... the 856 ... 6 rounds of .38, magnesium frame ...
