Walt Disney may be the name most closely associated with Mickey Mouse, but he actually wasn’t the first to design the beloved character. Iwerks was the first to design Mickey Mouse and did much of the animation in the character’s early years. Unfortunately Iwerks and Disney had a falling out, leading to Iwerks’s resignation in 1930.

Universal Pictures wound up owning the rights to Oswald in 1928 after a few cartoons were made, Disney and Ub Iwerks came up with Mickey, and nothing was ever heard of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit again until Disney regained the rights in 2003, and re-introduced Oswald in a video game in 2010.

Brother had a 1990 model. Dealer did a tape test at two years old and it pulled paint. GM paid for a new paint job that still looked good when he sold it in 2002. It was that smokey blue color that was popular at that time
