Ahh, that Mavrick.
Some time ago...outside of Philly...one of these went in excess of 130mph.
Also? With a sidecar fitted & a passenger.........managed 108mph!
There was no other production motorcycle capable of so doing...

Same here.<>
Butter does not require refrigeration to keep for a few weeks.
We took a hint from the French and bought several covered butter dishes, keep a couple sticks of butter ready in kitchen cabinet; they’re always soft & ready.
I had never realized that, until I was told, and tried it for myself.

The Indian Scout (45") is still the thing in hill climbing...Decades ago, I had an older neighbor who did some flat track racing in his younger days on an Indian.
He loved telling the stories....and all the reasons Indians were better than HD.
Great guy.
The Indian Scout (45") is still the thing in hill climbing...
At the White Rose Motorcycle Club (where the Indian Rally is held)....The Fuel Bikes, the more modern bikes...all make a great noise...

If you notice? The machine pictured is a magneto model...
Mine? Had the distributor vertically mounted off the oil pump...
The magneto is mounted transversely in front of the front cylinder....
Will tell you for fact, JACK! A bit of drizzle? With the magneto? The spark plug on the rear cylinder will JOLT the living stars out of the back of yer right thigh...The distributor model is not near so bad...It will hit you...just not like the mag!
Later, Mark

One of these, filled with bacon drippings, should be sitting at the back of every cooktop.Growing up, mom always kept the butter in a covered dish on the counter top.

my granny had a coffeecan on the stove for bacon drippings she cooked with a mixture of bacon drippings and lard!Mom used a empty Folgers coffee can. This was when coffee came in a metal can instead of a bag.
