Just a reminder that government "unemployment statistics" are not reflective of how many people in the country are out of work, they reflect how many are actively receiving unemployment benefits. If you didn't qualify for benefits, or chose not to request them, congratulations - you're officially not unemployed.. If you were on unemployment benefits searching for your next job and your benefits ran out...congratulations! You're officially no longer unemployed.

So when you hear the administration or their idiot supporters crowing about "record low unemployment", remember - there isn't record job growth to match it, so it means there's actually a record number of people who are unemployed but off the books and not counted. And note that every year there are larger numbers of people moving onto welfare...many of them because they can't find a job and have given up.
