Most of those are insane - I only saw a couple on that list that are good, like removing the governor's power to suspend sales during an emergency, and the temporary storage spaces in public buildings, removing the governor's authority to suspend or regulate the transportation or sale of stuff during an emergency. A constitutional carry bill is missing from that list - it needs to be on the table again. Most of that list are California like garbage.

Adding a duty to retreat is ridiculous! As a former Kamalafornian, such a 'duty' effectively castrates any ability to protect yourself or family at home.

There is no duty to retreat, even in a state gone mad like Kkkalifornia. Like 90% of those bills, they're just stupid democrats pandering to their base, introducing legislation that they know has 0 chance of going anywhere.

It's the borderline ones that your elected officials might see as "good to bargain with" that need to be stomped down.

I'll be following this one with interest. If a government is legally able to require you to disarm, they should provide a means to securely do so. The fees part of it makes me wonder. That should be something offered gratis.

    HB 118
Relating to requiring a national instant criminal background check in connection with private firearm transfers; creating a criminal offense.

    From the bill:

"(a) A person may not sell or otherwise transfer a firearm
    to another person unless:
    (2) the person is not a licensed firearms dealer, and:
    (A) the person sells or transfers the firearm to
... a person licensed to carry a handgun under Subchapter H,
    Chapter 411, Government Code"

That's an interesting carve out. I don't think I've ever seen that before. The bill has a snowball's chance in hell of passing this year so I'm not worried but the need to maintain a BOS sounds just lovely.... :|

We need to fight these bills with the usual fervor that we always do. But they don't surprise me. They get filed every legislative session. We must remain ever vigilant to ensure that's where they remain.

Sorry, I'll disagree with you here. The PRK has a lot of effed up laws but their castle doctrine is (still) quite good. We will see how long that lasts...
