The City of Austin may have removed their signs, but according to the article in Sunday's Austin American Statesman, the city is still banning LTC carry in City Hall.

I heard the same individual who made the first complaint is making a second one for verbal notice, which has the same enforcement/penalties as signs.
I think that they should be fined since the day they stated they took the signs down and started giving verbal notice.

I think the city employee who gives the verbal warning should pay the fine personally, along with the supervisor and the city council members who authorized this end around policy rather than the taxpayers.

Perhaps this is why they no longer post those 30.06 signs at the Pasadena gun shows any longer.

And agree about the employees giving verbal warning. They're violating state law. When we the people do that we face some type of penalty.

There is no real protesting a letter from the AG. The AG will simply take them to court to sue for the fines they should be incurring, and the AG will win. That's how the AG collects on that part of the law.

Unless, of course, a court rules the AG holds an invalid opinion.

AG opinions are not law or case law -simply opinions.

Yes of course, but I would think that the AG is doing some serious legal considerations with the amount of time they are taking to make decisions...!
