Texas Deer Season

Might want to check with your Game Wardens on shooting deer inside an enclosed trap. You may be on thin legal ground there. I know we are REQUIRED to take our hog traps down that surround a feeder during deer season.

It's not a trap and the deer can get in and out freely. I don't shoot them in the enclosed area. I actually set up along travel routes to feed and water. We also have several food plots the deer would rather come to than the feeders anyway. The panels are mainly to keep the hogs from eating a hole in our wallets with the price of corn the way it is.

I'm working opening weekend so I can't get there then, but nobody else will be there either so nothing will be disturbed. However, the following weekend is game on!

Sorry my dog just hit the enter button, but the guy shot it with a rifle i'm a mechanic for the city and called bs till i found out it was a city personal that shot it. I've several stories over if it was tagged or not but apparently the game warden nows the deer and the area it traveled which is not hunted by anyone. And the taxidermist called when the deer came in that the taxidermist's wife holding the rack before the state took it

Bags of corn here. Spotted a 6 point and three others this weekend. We got some small hogs, it is by a river. Nice mix so far. Back drop is a huge tall bank for bullet stop. Soon come one morning...
