Bill White's anti 2nd Amendment/big Government/Santuary State agenda will be no more. He didn't poll well enough int he statewide election to run for the senate so he is hopefully going to return to the private sector and stay out of politics for a few years.

4 more years of Rick Perry. Not so bad.

Sheila Jacksonl Lee won 73% to 27% over Faulk! Sad day for my congressional district. This lady needs to go!

I think that the Texas legislture has shifted to the right.

    Looking for confirmation of this.

Anyone have links to Texas political blogs that address this?

I occasionally can catch Michael Berry in Houston and he is great!! He is constantly badgering Jackazz Lee. How on earth does this total MORON keep getting elected? It's really a black mark on our state. (pardon the pun)

In a few days we can probably get a complete wrap up on the Texas Legislature from the TSRA site, concerning the gun issue.

Great wins for they who did and Texans and Americans. White did not even carry Houston, his own area, they were aware even more then we of his caliber. Gov. Perry perhaps has a couple or three things regrettable but look in your mirrors...Let he who has not sinned chunk the first stone...Right ?

100 to 50? ... It's time to PUSH hard on those gun rights boys!
Dems lost 23 seats going from 73 to 50.

Repubs gained 24 seats going from 76 to 100.

Voter turnout was the key IMHO. That and getting some of the fence sitters to lean our way.

I really don't see a better time in TX than to go after gun rights. Open carry should be championed. Some laws changed with destructive devices and knives. CHL should open up more.

    Texas!
Constitutional affirmation is the better option IF IT IS WRITTEN RIGHT....we then have a tool to use to pass or repeal anything that can be in conflict with the state and the fed constitutions....there is a draft being worked up now and should be ready to hit the ground running when the session starts!
