Just found this thread. I've only used an ffl once but I used Live To Shoot in Bedford.

I've used Live to Shoot many times. Easy and convenient and a great price. Jeff and his wife are great to deal with. In and out in the time it takes to fill out the paperwork and hand over the $10.

For forks in north Fort Worth, Keller, Justin, and north Tarrant County / south Denton County... Just did a transfer with Jason Cleaves of Assassin Armament (don't get turned off by the name - his other business is Assassin Exterminators!) in Haslet, Texas (14069 San Christoval Pass, 76052). Excellent service and quick, Jason charges $5 for military/law enforcement folks, $10 for a transfer for a CHL holder, $15 without a CHL. Thanks for all those recommendations! $10 is a great deal. A personal recommendation from someone on here carries a lot of weight for me. I started out with a local shooting range but their FFL fee was outrageous. I then went with another local business but their fee was $25, which is OK but not great.

I use Macs Gun Shop in Tyler, 25 bucks a transfer.

How long ago was that? Last time I called them about a transfer I was quoted $50.

In Mineola, I used a place called the Ponderosa. Right smack downtown on US 80. I think he charged either $20.00 or $25.00. Rob has a fully stocked store of new and used firearms and he and his staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

I've used Robert and Eagle 21 for 4 or 5 years now. Always $25, NFA $75. He's a combat disabled veteran and holds the class 3 with SOT. Not the least expensive but a quality guy from the word go. If he tells you something, you can count on it being right
