It is known that politicians routinely hit 'delete' on digital "documents" of this sort, because

    a) they know just how easy and effortless it is to hit the "Sign this petition" button.

    b) they know some folks can't help themselves and hit the "Sign this petition" button multiple times per day, thinking "they'll make a difference".

If you really want to 'do something', you'll print out that petition and ink sign it and mail it to your congresscritters. Better yet, print it out and get your neighbors, fellow VFW / American Legion / Moose club / Kiwanis members, etc to sign it before you send it. Politicians love paper mail, and a long list of actual signatures (not electronic dots) will really get their attention.

Mail them or at the least, pick up the phone and call them.
