2011 was rough. No doubt about it.
Hot and dry. Smoke filled the air.
    Thanks for the reminder.
I'll slog through the mud and not complain.

I speculate that this summer is going to be a wet one.

If so, mosquitoes are going to be bad this year. I already stocked up on bug spray.

2011 was the year I came to texas. I dropped the wife off to a cool green paradise in early april and moved the family to a hot dry hell hole not much different than the one I left in August.

Well, on the other hand those of us who don't live in the Panhandle don't suffer snow and Canadian like cold.

That pic was taken June 2017 from the thermometer on my back porch on the north side of the house facing FM 1750.

So the north side of your house faces 1750, that puts you after the curve. I'm on the east side of 1750 just before the curve.

2011 was a rough year. Start of the worst drought in recorded history. 2012 and 2013 weren't any better.

Yeah, but here in West Texas we don't always realize any particular summer gonna be "the worst" til it's too late 'cause it's so dang hot nearly all the time. Hit 90 today in the Greater Potosi Metropolitan Area and it's only April. 'Course it'll only be 69 for the high today, Thursday the 9th.

Anywheres outside of "downtown" Potosi I refer to as "The Greater Potosi Metropolitan Area" LOL
