Texas - How Hot and Dry Is It This Year?

I noticed years ago, any year we had a mild winter, the bugs were usually pretty bad that spring and summer.

I hit a bee in February.

It was 41 on my back porch this morning.
Yesterday afternoon it hit 85.

It got down to 12 degrees the winter before last. We didn't have a single hard freeze this year. Bugs will be plentiful. You can't take a step without stepping on a baby toad. I'm thinking that means a bumper-crop of copperheads. I hope I am wrong.

They are bad, and going to be even worse the warmer it gets.
