As long as one ensures not just that dangerous metal retards are disarmed, but that they are disarmed through a fair process that prevents non-dangerous individuals from inadvertently losing their Second Amendment rights as well....That's my stance and I ain't moving to no fguckin California....

You really need to step away from using the term mental retards. Are you asserting that retarded people are dangerous? I'd be really careful in how you answer that too!

And do some reading up on cases involving abuses of "Red Flag Laws" and many cases where people had their rights trample and infringed based on false accusations and allegations.

And please explain this "fair process" step by step for me. I'd like to hear how it's fair, because I sure have some very serious doubts about that!

I seriously doubt you have the first clue as to what you are talking about on this subject!

You seem to be confusing terms here.

Fair, and the oft used term common sense are terms tyrants like to use that means phuck the constitution and your rights. Shit, we also allow it to be wrongly interchanged with due process.

The term your looking for is Constitutional.

Regardless of how they try there is no way around that.

There is already a process to deal with the mental retards you're spewing off about. It quite amazingly, and apparently unknowingly to most, deals with those who are homicidal maniacs.

The red flag law folks are gun grabbing tyrants masquerading as people who care about anything but gun grabbing. And the few useful idiots who are to ignorant to realise this.

Our constitution and legal system supposedly derived from it was founded on protection of individual rights above all else.

You'd be surprised (or maybe not) to see people start new threads to post a single funny meme, or a single funny video.

There are specific threads for such things.
I guess it doesn't matter, though
You should apply for the Jr Moderator position.

Guess what - the unfair process and lack of protections for your rights aren't flaws to be fixed in "Red Flag" laws. They're features of the damn things. That's why all the anti-gun organizations are pushing for them. The GOAL is unjust accusation and confiscation. You can't fix that and still have the law in place. It's not intended to be fair or to respect any rights you have. Crenshaw needs to pull his head out of his ass on this, as does ANY gun owner who thinks there's a way these laws can protect them from "dangerous mental retards". The goal of these laws is to disarm YOU by false accusation and secret proceedings in the absence of any actual wrongdoing, then place the burden and expense on YOU to get your property back and restore your rights.

All of these arguments that "Red Flag" laws can be fixed to protect our rights but keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people are just like all the leftists who say "Oh, sure Venezuela and Cuba are shitholes, but they just didn't do socialism right. We'll do it better here." Or the battered wife who insists that her husband promised to be better this time.

A mental retard is the same as a a mentally challenged person.....how's that.....I do not know the answers about how to protect the law abiding Texan who owns guns...I am just an American citizen like you...if the red flag law does come to Texas then it must protect the law abiding average joe....PERIOD.....that's is all I want....all the remarks must be sent to your Federal, State and local representatives...convince them, not me...

Just because a person is mentally challenged, or retarded, that doesn't make them dangerous in any more ways than someone that isn't.

Any Red Flag Law doesn't in any way protect any law abiding gun owner. It is just another infringement upon gun rights and law abiding citizens.

Such laws are never in place to "protect" anyone. Prove one case where any gun law, ban, or restriction of any type, has protected the gun rights of law abiding citizens. I'll bet you that you can't. Take all the time you need!

You make great sense....and do not know the answer...I am just a citizen like you...if the Red Flag law was to come to Texas, then by golly, it better protect the legal Texas gun owners...I almost every day send my Federal, State representatives, plus Gov Abbott, Lt Gov Dan Patrick, and President Trump too, my feelings that the law abiding Texas gun owners MUST BE PROTECTED PERIOD. It has to be debated out in Congress and State level....The mass shootings have to be fixed....I say again, I do not know the answer.

Your first part I totally agree....your last part happens in LIBERAL states as they want to take all the guns away from everyone....Since Texas has no Red Flag laws, we need to write our representatives not me...

Red Flag Laws protect no one. Not one person. In several states, that have RFL's, law abiding gun owners have been falsely accused of being "dangerous" simply because they owned guns, and had their guns confiscated, with no due process.

You keep up this nonsense of "mentally retarded" being dangerous, some might label you as being such.

You seem to me, to be the one wanting them to enact a Red Flag Law in Texas.

Partner, you saddled the wrong horse here! No gun owner that believes in the 2nd Amendment as it's written will EVER support any type of Red Flag Law, in Texas, or any other state in this country.

EXCELLENT segue into "I didn't say that shit!!!" Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Bravo!!!:flag::flag::flag:

"... shall not be infringed...." That's pretty clear... "SHALL"... not "can" "should" "might" There's a reason that word "shall" was used. Figure it out.
I didn't mean to shame you by the suggestion, at all. Your "no answer" at least told them something.
I just think my new motto is "Confront nonsense immediately and decisively".
No shame here... Just didn't consider the big picture. I much prefer your response!
