    I wish that I had been smart enough to have my old "Max" cremated, saved & put with my ashes at ANC, whenever I pass away. = She was "one of one", imo.

    As I said he was a hermit kind of guy. I didn't even know he had any other "friends" other than myself and my wife, which is how I met him. I found his will in his house and it stated he wanted to be cremated and no service. I paid for his cremation from my own pocket and found his DD214 for Navy carrier service during Vietnam. Had them (Navy) come out to the Texas Veterans cemetery near Fort Hood and do a short military honors and done. Served on the USS Ranger.
