So I thought it would be cool to run my 4 door grocery getting down the mile. Made a profile, applied for a license and everything else required to register. Well it opened today so I went to sign up before it filled up (which it already has now). $500 for 3 days and $400 for two! Well that's too rich for just my curiosity. Wish they had a one pass fee. I'd pay $100 to just go down it one time and see what I got.

    My 2 cents,

I've ran the mile in a 4 door family car (G8) twice. Had an absolute blast both times. 140ish then right at 170. Good times... It's expensive but worth it. I've drag raced quite a bit but the mile is so much more fun. If you don't run you should at least go watch.

I've watched it back when it was in Goliad. Definitely fun to watch. I was going to run my G8 GXP daily driver. It's just that after buying a helmet, fire extinguisher, gloves and paying registration; I could of easily spent well over a grand. I'll just find an open road and run it up for free, save the $ for a new AR or optic.

My friends Ford GT ran 226+, 2x turbo, NOS

His underground racing lambo has more hp then the Ford, I've ridden in that beast, makes my old 'busa look like a ninja 250

Also have containment seat, window net, right side net, steering wheel with QD

If the LeMons car is a Camaro or Firebird, I have all kinds of parts laying around ... brakes, sways, torque arms, exhaust, body panels ...

In my youth I ran a Honda CB-1 at TWS. Got out of it when they put SV650's in the class. Couldn't compete with kids half my weight with 50% more horsepower.

Same reason here ... enter Mustangs with Coyote rev kings.

And all due respect to the straightline guys, I just never got any jollies out of sitting in staging lanes for an hour, do a burn-out, plant the right foot for 8-10 seconds then coast to a slow turn, idle back to the pits, rinse and repeat.
