Anyone else seen this months issue of Texas Monthly? Nuge is on the front cover and is the cover story. I never tire of seeing him in print and on Tv/Radio, he just entertains the hell out of me. Its a good article and classic Uncle Ted, with quotes from Gov. Perry and some of his other friends.

...funny part is that when I bought the magazine at HEB, the kid checking me out looked at it and asked my what a Nuge was? I said " Its not a Nuge, its The Nuge" he looked puzzled. I said, "I guess your too young to know who ted Nugent is" and he looked puzzled and said no he didn't...i just laughed and told him he was an rocker from the early days....

This issue is also a guide to the best and worst state legislators. I haven't read the part yet, so i don't know where they are going with that yet

Saw him at the Texas Jam in 85' or 86' the loudest band of anybody there that day! It was a religious experience to see him swing on a rope acroos the stage and shoot a flaming arrow at his guitar. A better musical time it was!

Ted is knowledgeable and out spoken and I sure am glad he's on this side of the fence but I still can't get my head around that short hair cut.
He will always be the Mad Man from Detroit City!!!!

I stopped reading Texas Monthly about 2 years ago, just a little too left leaning for me. However, I met Ted in Hobby Airport a couple of years ago. He was just standing there and I wished him a good flight. We struck up a conversation and he made a huge deal about me being in the Army. Slapped me on the back, called me "Bloodbrother" and gave me his guitar pick. I took an instant liking to him. I was reading a book about the Constitution and he autographed it for me. We talked about war and the 2d Amendment. When I told my brothers in arms about my experience, showed them the guitar pick, one said "You, are a god, you met Nuge." Hilarious....
