Back porch sunrise. One of the many benefits of getting up early to fire the smoker up.

For the wife, the return to Texas was about her family, for me, go back and view all the pictures that have been posted and you have the reason I came back.

My youngest boy just sent me this cool shot from somewhere way out in West Texas going to Buffalo Trails Scout Ranch.

First time in a few decades that I’ve been out this way, west of SA, and even then, I’ve never stopped the vehicle, I dont think. I’m traveling West on I-10 ATM (not driving, passenger).

Will be spending a few days in the Fort Davis area, camping with the hubs after dropping off two progeny to work at BTSR Scout Ranch. Will hope to update this thread soon with some hopefully beautiful pictures of West Texas.

This is up at the top of Skyline Drive, Fort Davis State Park, at 9:00 pm, during a lightning storm in the other direction. I took the photo from the truck so I had a lesser chance of being struck by lightning lol.
