Honestly, I'm sire all this bullshit is partly due to the move to get all states aligned under a federal standard. Between the massive amount of fucking up the feds do and the state DMV retards it's sure to be a clusterfuck.

This is why I'm wary of letting the CHL go through the fed for national reciprosity. We will watch it go down the same path.

The electronic logging devices (eld) aren’t reliable and hack proof and yet the feds want all Trucks to have one. Just increases cost of doing business with no real safety benefits. The kicker is we have to carry paper logs as a backup Incase the eld goes down. Facepalm. So paper is not trust worthy or good enough but you better still carry it or get a ticket. Sorta like mandatory minimum insurance coverage that includes requiring uninsured motorist coverage...

Might be right. One of the things that was cited in that last meeting was federal regs for manufacturers. Thing is the state completely controls their title and registration process. Where is this push coming from?

That's exactly why I went back and added Uninsured motorist to a vehicle I had previously rejected it on. It's only about $40 a year, IIRC.
