Soo, the law that was signed, has no real legal protection on a federal level? From the little I've read from other states that have similar laws, the person selling and buying can and have been prosecuted and convicted by ATF. (Please correct me if wrong).

After the West Virginia decision, the ATF is in uncharted waters. They used to be the Big Dog on the block, now they arguably need to ask Mommy for permission to have milk and cookies.

As for the NFA, it's under attack from all sides. Unfortunately, some of those sides are....misguided? and probably going to create very bad case law which will make our job that much harder. But again, under Bruen, it's all up for grabs, so the cases which come through, e.g., the 5th Circuit are excellent candidates to explore this brave, new, post-Bruen world...

Yeah, IF we can get a court to decide this only on 2A grounds, we probably win without even taking off our warmups. The big challenges are still the Commerce Clause and chevron deference, and getting past those two will take a miracle riding in the backseat of another miracle.

I'll be looking forward to hear the SCOTUS ruling on this. It should be a slam dunk with Bruin decision, not to mention you can't tax a right.
