M&P shield 9mm been the best of the smaller framed pistols so far for me. Like my wife's g43 very much also... but I like having a safety for EDC.

Had a bodyguard that I could slip in my pocket or cargo pocket with ease. Hated the trigger and how snappy it was, it hurt to shoot. I have pretty large hands... it just wasn't comfortable to shoot.

Deep concealment, absolutely can not be spotted? Kimber Micro 9 in a pocket holster.

Not a gun for extended range sessions, but delivers hole in hole accuracy.

X2 on the 938. I appendix carry mine, vs pocket. but it is small enough for most pockets if you choose.
I pocket carry mine. Not a fan of sig or of the 1911 style guns but it works for me. Small & accurate. I wear shorts all the time since its a 10000000 degrees out usually and this works great for that.

That LCP II is tempting. At 10.6 oz, that thing is LIGHT. How's it shoot? Is it pretty snappy?
It’s not too snappy but it does make you realize that 380 is not a dud round. Fairly accurate, but I haven’t shot it past 20 yards. Small enough I forget its in the front pocket of my wranglers.

    Here
My Kahr P380 disappears in my pocket, the trigger is amazing and it is very shootable. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pocket pistol.

    Walther PPK in .380ACP w/JHP.

    yours, satx

Only got a PPK/S and that one's grip is larger than the PPK and Micro9/P938, with the same capacity, and smaller caliber so until I can find a reasonably priced PPK I'll stick with the Kimber. Same size as the PPK, same round count but larger caliber.

    Kar98,

My WWII-era PPK was bought "used but not abused" in West Germany over 4 decades ago for 75 bucks, so I'll stick with it for "deep concealed carry". - My EDC is a Sig-Sauer P6 in an "on waist-belt holster".
(Given the markings, I think that the PPK was once issued to the German Bridge, Locks & River Police. - The P6 is stamped on the right side of the slide with the "NW" of the Nordrhein-Westfalen Police.)

Personally, at ACTUAL/usual self-defense range ("near contact" to 15M), I believe that the .380ACP is quite suitable for SD.

ADDENDA: About 10 years ago, the MD State Police did a "shooting study" that determined in a LEO vs. BAD GUY shooting that you had about a 1 in 6 chance of being hit in the first exchange of fire beyond 3M or 9.84 feet. = Obviously, neither the police nor BGs shoot well under stress.

    yours, satx

Ruger LCP, S&W 642, and Sig P365. My selection depends on which pants/shorts I'm wearing. I did have an XDS 9mm in the rotation for a long time as well. I could never shoot it as accurately as I'd like so I gave it to a friend of mine.

As far as "deep concealment/I don't want anyone to notice this pistol in my pocket, no matter what I'm wearing" I will always steer toward the LCP.

I forgot about my S&W 642. I haven't carried it yet because I don't have a good holster for it. Its definitely small enough for deep concealment. Capacity may sway folks from it.

I have friends and family who swear you need at least a double stack with an extra mag on you at all times. If I run through 30+ rounds in an encounter, I'm either on a movie set or going about things wrong.
