In Chicago, we took thread thimbles and taped a piece of underwear elastic over one end. That made a dandy launcher for strike anywhere matches. We could either launch one and see it light up when it hit the street or strike them on a rock and shoot them as they burned. That looks pretty cool at night!

In Brooklyn we'd tie rubberbands together to make a big one. Nail a clothespin(Trigger) to a 2x4 the length of a kids rifle. Cut up old linoleum flooring . And run around shooting each other with the linoleum squares.

Old fashion wood ruler, rubber bands and mini paper airplanes. Add straight pin if you want them to stick.
Or a Red Rider, round toothpick. Breack off one end, drop in barrel, cock and shoot.
Oh, by the way, not at your brother or mom gets pissed......a lot!
