"When the military gave me a gun, I was vetted, I was trained," retired Coast Guard Captain Gail Kulisch said. "They asked, 'Do I have the judgment?'"

Look at how many of those people have killed combatants, non-combatants, and even fellow service members under extremely questionable circumstances. Look at how many of them commit suicide with their service weapons.

    An absurd analogy.

I've seen some terrible weapons handling in the military. I once told a SGT if he didn't get the 249 out of my face he would have an M16 in his. The barrel was a few inches from my temple....
