Well the ice storm hit the Dallas area last night. We lost power about 4AM Friday morning. Still not power as of 845.

When the temperature hits minus 20 and the wind picks up...... then start talking about cold... LOL but then again, I still have my down parka, sleeping bag and the requisite "Arctic survival gear" So when it does get cold we light a candle and head for the down comforters, power outage or not.

I used to be like that but after 35 years in Texas I am something of a born again Texan. So when temps dip below 40 I get a bit cold. Then again, my new bride is Texan born and raise. I needed to take care of the fanily first so we got a hotel room for the night. since we got power back i have offered the warmth of my house to any friend that is still without.
