    Insurance question.
    Does a car dealership need flood insurance, like a homeowner does for possessions, to cover flood damage to vehicles on its lot?
    Federal Flood Insurance program only applies to real property--meaning real estate. Doesn't apply to personal property and cars, etc. Your regular auto insurance applies when it comes to this--assuming you have the appropriate coverage beyond liability coverage.

    I misunderstood curfew as well.
    I thought it meant every where, but only applies to main thoroughfares, not subdivisions, etc.

    Properly known as the "National Flood Insurance Program", not "Federal".
    Read this about what is covered ...
    And, NFIP is also available for commercial properties, both real and personal.

    Hey, I got the name wrong, but it IS a federal thing, and not underwritten by state chartered insurance companies. But thanks for the good info for commercial customers. :cheers:
