Seriously though all those weapons are absolutely great. I don't really have a need for a BMG, hard to talk the wife into one for squirrel hunting (she's smarter than I originally thought.) I own a couple of the others and they are flawless shooters.

I'm sorry... No M1A on the list is crap. And while the Barrett .50 is a hell of a weapon, I'll guarantee it has done less to preserve US freedom and has killed far less enemy than the M1A.

    M1 Garand / M1A > AK47 > AR15

Nevermind the M60, Browning M2, etc.

Nothing that shoots a .22 caliber round should ever grace the title Manly.

I respectfull submit that the .22 does deserve praise. The reason, it is the round the vast majority of us cut our teeth on as beginners. It for most is the gateway to shooting.

That does not make it manly.

.30-06 and .45 ACP won two World Wars. That is manly.

It doesn't get any more manly than the Anzio Ironworks 20mm:

To give you an idea of the size, yes that is a 50bmg round on the right in the first picture, and yes that is a Barrett M82 on the right in the first picture as well. There is an Anzio 20mm here in Austin at Sportsman's Finest, and seeing it in person it is indescribable! ;) Barrett M82's are big as hell and heavy as hell, and the Anzio just completely dwarfs them.

I have all but 2. I have a 50, its not a barret. Got multiples on the Nagant and the SMLE. Not sure what his criteria where but as manly things go you have to have a Desert Eagle, 500 S & W, and a 500 Nitro express double rifle.

I think the 1911, 1873 Colt, and the M1 Garand would be manlier than the Glock, Schmitt-Rueben, and 870.

I definitely think the list is missing out on the manliness of lever action cowboy action shooting. You can't get more manly than wild west cowboy... well World War is just as manly... but you can't get manlier than those.

BTW WTF are you going to shoot with a 20mm??? that's just nuts.... I want one!

I'm only saying this because I have one, but the Ruger Super redhawk Alaskan is a pretty damn manly firearm, so what if I'm never going hiking in bear country I like big bangs and beastly fireballs.
