Had the VA appraisal report come back for the house I am buying and now I am all set to close soon. I have come up with a surplus of cash so I am planning on buying some sort of red dot / reflex sight for my converted Saiga .223. Just want to know what people would pick if they were in my shoes.

I have about $600 to spend so let's hear it. Saving money isn't really a concern of mine so not really keen on buying any lower end optics. Thanks

Anything but the eotech. I need to get my VA certificate rolling myself. May the new house be blessed.

Seriously tho. Any of your choices besides the eotech. I own Aimpoint and had Trijicon (1-4 scope) Trijicon is CrAzy nice. Best glass in my opinion. Aimpoint is bada$$ Aimpoint. Money well spent.

I have the PRO by Aimpoint on my AR and it is outstanding. I was mostly leaning towards the Trijicon MRO as I can get one for about $375 right now. I heard that the new eotechs had solved the issues people had faced on the older models but the battery life still sucks. I like the reticle on it though

    Thanks for your input

You got a full $600. Now's your chance on a compM4. Extra money would be involved but it's a celebration. Buy something that last the life of the house.

I like the reticle too but Lord they jacked up previous sights when others were solid. Forgive and forget or buy an Aimpoint?

Don't see how you can go wrong with an Aimpoint PRO. I love mine. Battery life measured in years. Tough as nails.

I am going to do a bit more research on the EXPS for the future but right now, I am either going with another PRO or the MRO by Trijicon.
    Congrats.

I was gonna recommend the PRO. Good sight and value. Not much to gain by spending more unless you want a smaller sight.

I have never used a compm4 before but I feel that the PRO is more than enough sight for the money. I currently have one and it is great. Only reason I was thinking a smaller red dot is that it lines up very well with my sight picture I get naturally on my saiga. Might just buy both. I need an optic for my Vepr too

Aimpoint Micro - No need to buy the super duper T1 or T2 unless you want to go swimming with it. I have the less expensive H2 and the dot works just fine for my bad eyes. YMMV

So I ended up getting a Trijicon MRO as well as another Aimpoint PRO. I am going to put the MRO on my vepr since she is a hefty hog and the PRO is going on my Saiga
