The Well Armed Woman

I was discussing with one of the other forum members about the possibility of forming a local chapter of The Well Armed Woman, and wanted to see if any of the other ladies would be interested.
They have a chapter called North Dallas, however they actually meet in Sherman, and I was thinking about something around Plano, Garland, Richardson area (less drive time, more shooting time!).

I think it would be fun to have a meet and greet at one of the ranges, and we could talk about it.
With the holidays coming up, we would probably want to wait until after the first of the year to get serious about planning anything. Right now I just want to get an idea if there would be enough interest to pursue this.

My sister runs the Northwest Arkansas chapter. We are going up next week and she is taking my wife shooting, so I'll get a full report then. She has spent the last year getting her NRA range safety officer, basic hand gun instructor, her CHL instructor and taken 2 or 3 top tear hand gun training classes.

Hey Cindy. I completely missed this thread till now. I'm in. I do think waiting till after the holidays is a good idea. Maybe we could meet at Eagle on one of their Ladies nights a talk to others there?

Kittyhawk, that would be great, any info or advise she can offer would be greatly appreciated. And if she is ever down this way, let us know if she's up for a group shoot, talk or get together!

Angelia, I think that is an excellent idea. It looks like they use Red River Firearms East and they meet on the third Friday of the month.....
so we just missed the meeting that was last Friday. Next month's meeting (provided they have one) will fall on Dec. 20. But I would be very interested to visit with some of the ladies in their group. So help me spread the word around and let do this!
