Maybe I’m reading too much between the lines but I’m not sure Judine is unemployed. Looks like to me, the Corps of Engineers went out of their way in the phrasing of her employment status. For instance, they did not just come out and say she had been fired or that her employment had been terminated.
What they technically said was, she was a “contracted employee” who was no longer working gate duty at Cedar Breaks Park or any other Corps of Engineer lake. This seems to allow for a lot of ‘wiggle room’ in that she could be employed somewhere else, not as a gate attendant. I’m guessing she was actually employed by a separate contractor company (a common practice with non-military federal government locations) and that company would simply re-assign her to another location and in a different job assignment (perhaps one, not interfacing directly with the public).
