I mean, what better feedback for plinking at distance than a loud TWAAAANNNNNNGGGGG when you make contact? I know it's a tall order, but I would think there would be demand for such a range, right?

ASC is 600 yards and I know they have steel at the longer ranges (200+), just not 100% sure they have steel at 600.

Not exactly north Houston, I know, but you have to make due with what's available.

I literally grew up shooting at ASC. It's lost its luster over the years. Too many jerkoffs and people I am uncomfortable shooting around going to that range. Not to mention, anything outside of 200 yards is uncovered. It just leaves too much to be desired to shoot at.

I go to ASC mid-week first thing in the morning. Tends to be empty than. At 400yds to 600yds there is steel. I also feel no matter what range you go to these days during peak hours there are un-trained firearms owners.

Has anyone here actually shot at Impact Zone? Besides SC?
Rene from 10Ring told me he had been but it was so long ago he didn't remember the setup and our conversation was at least three years ago.

I agree with the comment with the untrained shooters at ASC. I have packed and left more than once when I saw groups of people shooting and laughing while holding guns.

Also the comment on 200+ yard has no cover is spot on. Damn it's tough when it's 100oF outside.
