Just a thought, but you could buy this for about $500 less than the Wilson Combat:

Why not have the best of both worlds and get an STI 2011 in 45?

I like STI, but they are orders of magnitude behind SVI.

Here are some of the pics from those ads. Again, I have no affiliation with the sellers, but I generally don't buy new firearms, and brianenos is my go to source for 1911s and 2011s.

Linky doesn't work for me unless I become a member and sign in.

Edit to add: I can get into the forum but don't know where the picture is.

In 'Classifieds'. Go to the classifieds page, then in the search bar on the top right, click 'search in this forum' and use term, "SVI"

Those prices are about 15-25% off of new... and since SVI runs about 18-30 months from order to delivery, there's the added bonus of very little wait.

    Food for thought. 45 x 230 x 8 = 2070 gr of billets. 9mm x 18 x 147 = 2646 gr. AND it goes BANG 10 more times without a reload. The BANG is fun.

That's sorta how my shtf bag packing algebra works, too:

    9MM:
    Average 115gr 9mm Luger round:
    Rounds per pound ~ 38.10rds
    Weight per 100 rounds ~ 2.63lbs
    500 rounds ~ 13.15lbs

    Average 230gr .45ACP round:
    Rounds per pound ~ 21.33rds
    Weight per 100 rounds ~ 5.07lbs
    500 rounds ~ 25.35lbs

The Duo comes with the Leupold Delta Point Pro, but that would still be two guns worth for me.

Not according to their web page.

The DUO (Dawson Universal Optic) system is designed to work with the Leupold Delta Point Pro, Trijicon RMR, and most popular optics that use the same mounting platform

    *Delta Point Pro Not Included*

    Am I missing something?

ETA: After looking through several web pages, I guess I would contact a seller to make sure, others have the same picture but state the same as stiguns, Delta Point Pro not included. You would think they would have a picture of what the price includes.
