My Springfield is a GI in stainless.

It hasn't hiccuped yet on any factory or reloaded ammo.

    Reliable for sure.

The "Range Officer" is one of the few Springers still made entirely in the USA.

Mine puts every other M1911 I own to shame.

If you can find one for less than $699, snap it up!

I know Nagels gets blasted here all the time, but I got my RO there for 750 a few weeks ago

I bite the bullet and purchased te Springfield RO,it really does shoot good .It lowered my groups off hand at 15 yds from 5inch down to about 2and half. Noproblems started with 20 rounds hardball them switched to my 200 ga lswc fired about 100 rds . Very pleased with it

    Dallas Texas or so
My RO came with a lousy and heavy trigger. I did a true radius trigger job on it. Now the break is at 3.5 pounds and it just snaps perfectly. used an Ed Brown hardcore sear and stoned it to the TR jig. polished the hammer hooks a little and it is perfect. The True Radius jig was developed by Chuck Warner and sells for about $60. Best jig on the market.

    Sad to hear that.

Mine shot like bulls on fire right out of the box. Trigger was crisp and the slide to frame fit was like they rode on ball bearings. With good ammo, that gun delivers big round eyes.

Yeah, sterling. Looks like someone broke the sharp edges off the front of your 1911 for carry, or maybe its a camera trick lol
