It looks like Dems took over VA and they were declared winner in KY although less than 1% and the Republican wants a recount which is a good thing. MS gov went to the Republican at least that was a bright spot. Look at Houston that crooked mayor is winning by a large margin and it looks like he will win the run off next month or whenever that election is. Basically the Dems had a pretty damn good night.

Apparently the KY Rep. governor incumbent was a jerk that even many Republicans did not like. He should have been primaried.

In VA, so much of the population now resides in the NE and are DC bureaucrats. This trend started some time ago. Only smaller government will reverse the trend.

I read somewhere that the Dems poured money into the Virginia campaign. They want to use it as a start for gun control in southern states. We saw what happened when they poured money into Robert Francis O'Roark's campaign against Ted Cruz. They must have purchased a million yard signs alone.

Multimillions came from liberals outside the state. Just like with O'Rourke and the Dem gal who ran for governor.

GOP not doing a good job of getting good candidates to run (e.g., KY governor).

Heard on news last night that some of the Virginia elections did not have a Republican running at all. Can't win if you don't run. GOP falling down on the job, you are correct.
